Panel: How will the data collected in the 2020 Census Impact Our Public Education Resources?
This year, the data collected from the 2020 Census will determine funding for critical initiatives like teacher training, special education, and classroom technology. Undercounting - especially among the most economically disadvantaged - could lead to reduced funding for many of these programs and resources for the next 10 years, adding to the challenges already present in these communities to improve educational equity.

You’re invited to join the DIA in welcoming experts from Dallas ISD, Commit, Dallas County Community College District, and the Child Poverty Action Lab to a roundtable discussion about the 2020 Census and how the results are directly tied to resources here in North Texas. Leave armed with the ways you can help ensure that everyone in your community is accurately counted.
